You do not need a gym to get great six pack abs. Try these exercises at home.
Bicycle Crunches
Get an exercise mat and lie on your back. Put your hands behind your head. Raise your knees to about a 45 degree angle. Then start a gentle pedal motion and as your right knee comes up touch your left elbow to your knee whilst keeping your hands clasped behind your head. Then alternate as you continue the pedal motion so that as your left knee comes up you touch it with your right elbow. This is one of the most effective exercises for strengthening your abs. Keep your breathing even.
Leg Raise
Again use an exercise mat and lay on the floor with your back pressed to the mat. Bring your legs to a 90 degree angle. Try this for at least 10 to 20 times. To burn your love handles, move your raised legs to the right and left.
Ab Curl
Put your arms across your chest while lying on your mat on the floor. After that, curl up or raise your shoulder for about one inch from the floor. Hold the position for at least four seconds. You will feel tightness in your abdominal muscles during your first few tries. Once you get the hang of it, try to raise your feet along with your shoulders. You can increase the difficulty by trying to raise your shoulders and legs incrementally higher as you become more proficient.
Now apart from the basic exercises, you will also need to consider some other factors together with your exercise regime. Remember that your exercises will not work if your diet easily restores the fats you have lost. Try to eat less sweets and fatty foods. Stock up on protein, vegetables and fruits instead. Also, do not forget to take at least 8 glasses of water to replenish water lost during workouts.
You do not need to have a gym at your home to get six-pack abs. Just consider having some exercise accessories like an exercise ball or mat. You could also set-up a music player in your exercise area so you can feel pumped up while doing your routines.
Even the best six pack abs workout will not be effective if you do not instill discipline in yourself. Avoid skipping your exercises as this will only be the start of halting your training whenever you feel like it. Also, you should avoid eating unhealthy food on impulse. A lot of people do this thinking that they will gradually burn the fats through their exercise. Be a little different and show some discipline.
